What is a signal score?
A signal score is a 0-100 estimate of how close a public post is to a buying decision. It reads one thing a person wrote, whether a Reddit post, a YouTube comment, or a Facebook group post, and answers two questions: what kind of signal is this, and how ready does the writer sound. It is the same classifier that scores every signal inside Meadowrank, run on a single post.
The point of scoring instead of skimming is consistency. Anyone can spot the obvious "who do you recommend" post. The hard part is the other ninety percent: the vent that is really a request, the how-to question from someone about to give up on DIY, the complaint about a competitor from a person who is already paying for help. Read fifty of those in a row and your standard drifts. A score does not.
The five signal types
Pain is someone naming a frustration that what you sell would solve. Buying intent is the explicit ask for a recommendation, a tool or a hire. Rival is a complaint about a competitor or an incumbent tool, which means the writer has budget by definition. Discovery is the earliest stage: someone doing the job themselves, not yet aware they could hand it off. Visibility is the fifth and the odd one out: the author is not a buyer, but the post is a place your buyers are reading, and a useful public comment there helps customers find you. It is scored for reach and fit rather than readiness. Every checker returns one of these five plus the score, because the type changes what a good reply looks like.
Why one checker per platform?
Because the same intent reads differently in each place. On Reddit, buyers ask directly and the noise is commentary. Under a YouTube video, they narrate being stuck and the noise is praise. In a Facebook group, asking for a vendor is the norm and the noise is everything social. Each checker is tuned to what a real ask looks like on its platform, so the score means the same thing everywhere even though the posts do not look alike.
What to do with the number
Roughly: 70 and above is a person you could help today, 40 to 70 is worth reading in context, and under 40 is usually broadcast rather than a buyer. Then reply like a person. Answer the actual question with something they can use whether or not they ever hire you. On every one of these platforms the useful public answer is what gets read, and it keeps getting read by the next person with the same problem.

Is the score the same as the one inside the game?
Yes. The free checkers and the daily game run the same classifier with the same five types and the same 0-100 scale. A 74 on the checker is a 74 on the card you reveal.
